Call for Submissions
The Fiber Society seeks papers on fundamental research related to the science and engineering of fibers and fibrous materials for its Spring 2026 Conference, scheduled for May 20–22, 2026, at Empa, St. Gallen, Switzerland. Submission of original work related but not limited to the following themes are welcomed:
• Nano- and Microfiber Technology
• Inorganic and Hybrid Fibers
• Healthcare and Biomedical Textiles
• Biobased and Biodegradable Fibers
• Fibers for Comfort and Protection
• Fiber-reinforced Composites |
• Microplastic Fiber Pollution
• Sustainability and Recycling of Fibers
• Fiber Modeling and Characterization
• High-performance Fibers and Composites
• Smart Textiles and Fiber-based Wearables

You may submit for oral or poster presentation from a link on the conference website or directly on The Fiber Society website at thefibersociety.org. Do not email your submission. Formatting guidelines for oral and poster abstracts are provided. Submissions must be in the proper Word document format; no PDFs. Submission deadline is February 28, 2026. Notification of acceptance will be no later than March 15.
