The Fiber Society’s Fall 2026 Technical Meeting and Conference
Harmonizing Functionality with Sustainability

The Fiber Society seeks abstract submissions on fundamental research related to the science and engineering of fibers and fibrous materials for its Fall 2026 Technical Meeting and Conference, scheduled for October 14–16, 2026, at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Dr. Bipin Kumar will chair the conference. Submissions of original work related but not limited to the following themes are welcomed:
• Sustainable Fibers and Textiles
• Composite and High-performance Fiber Applications
• Functional Fibers and Advanced Fibrous Materials
• Smart Textiles and Wearable Systems
• Textile Recycling, Circularity, and Textile Waste Valorization
• Biomedical and Healthcare Textiles
• Textile Surface Topography, Tribology, and Surface Characterization
• Fiber Structure, Mechanics, and Modeling
• Textile Manufacturing Innovation and Digitalization
Online submissions only will be accepted. Access The Fiber Society website at thefibersociety.org and follow the link for submissions; do not email your submission. Formatting guidelines for oral and poster abstracts are provided online. Submissions must be in the proper Word document format; no PDFs. Submission deadline is 07/31/2026. Notification of acceptance will be no later than 08/10/2026.
Conference registration will be online through The Fiber Society website. Up-to-date information about the conference, hotel accommodations, travel, and more will be available on the website as details are finalized.
